Professor Matthew Richard Pollino is a full time Jiu Jitsu Instructor, mainly working privately with multiple clients either on a one on one basis or in small group sessions. Matthew is the Former In-House Jiu Jitsu Instructor at the Toluca Lake Tennis and Fitness Club. Former Head Instructor at Gracie Barra Encino/STC Encino, instructing there for nearly five years and was briefly the Head Jiu Jitsu Instructor at Clube L.A., in downtown Los Angeles. Professor Pollino is a 1st degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under World Jiu Jitsu Champion, former King of the Cage Champion, and UFC Competitor Professor Alberto Crane from Legacy Jiu Jitsu Burbank where Matthew trained and taught for 6 years.
Matthew is also the former Head Instructor for Las Vegas based Karate Legend, Hall of Famer, and Chuck Norris Protégé John “The Giant Killer” Natividad, and a former instructor at Dartainian Jiu Jitsu in North Hollywood as well as a former instructor for Las Vegas based Muay Thai Instructor Nick “One Kick” Blomgren.
In addition to private instruction Matthew currently teaches and actively trains at the Paragon BJJ Headquarters in Ventura California. He also holds a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do under the United States Tae Kwon Do Association and is a certified personal trainer under AFAA (The American Fitness Association of America).

Matthew Pollino Carreer Highlights
Started training in Kung Fu at the age of 8 years old.
At fourteen Matthew began training under Grandmaster DS Kim in Tae Kwon Do. Trained over five years under Kim and Master Hilario Cabral eventually teaching at both academies. During that time he started training in Muay Thai and Judo at the D kosin Thai Boxing and Judo Center.
Trained under Tang Soo Do Karate Legend John Natividad starting off by invite to the closed training sessions in Natividad’s famous garage workouts. Matthew later became the head instructor at John Natividad’s World Class Karate Studio until late 1995.
Instructor for and taught by Las Vegas based Muay Thai Coach, “One Kick” Nick Blomgren.
Matthew has been involved in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 1993 after seeing the 1st UFC.
Trained under and was also an Instructor for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Dartanian Bagby and Ken Riggs at Dartanian Jiu Jitsu for over 11 years. (Studying Gi and No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, Judo and Wrestling.)
