A martial art and sport of attack and defense, in which competitors wear boxing gloves and throw punches as in boxing and kick with their bare feet as in karate also includes punches, blocks, and evasive maneuvers. In addition, depending on the style, kickboxing may also involve knee strikes, elbow strikes, clinching, headbutting, and even take downs or throws. Another style of kickboxing called cardio kickboxing for the purpose of fitness became popular in recent times.

The Kickboxing/Fitness class curriculum consists of a variety of different ways to get your heart rate up and your stress levels down. While attending one of our classes you can expect to be doing anything from Plyometrics and Circuit Training to Full Contact Sparring (depending on your experience). The class content is strategically planned out beforehand to challenge students of all skill levels while providing the opportunity to learn and train in a controlled environment where safety is key. Some safety/sparring gear is required but the gym does have equipment for temporary use while you determine if the class is right for you and your fitness/competition goals.
