  • When can I spar (roll) ?

    Anyone is allowed to roll after four weeks of basic technique training with the instructor.

  • Are there different class levels?

    Kids classes are separated by age 3-6 years, 7-13 yrs, and 14-17 years. Adult classes are all levels.

  • How to get promoted and what do the belts mean?

    Promotions are held twice a year by the head professor. He is the one to decide wether your skills are where they need to be  Attendance is very important, but so does your understating of the sport. Promotion chart posted up in the academy.

  • Whats a Jiu-Jitsu class like for Kids and Adults?

    Kids classes are one hour long allowing them to start out with a warm-up, games, technique and rolling. The warm up is the first thing for any class. For the for kids we like to continue with a game where everyone can get to know each other and welcome new students.

    An adult class is and hour and a half long. First thirty minutes consist of a warm up prepping for   the technique, next thirty minutes. A technique is taught by the instructor, a new technique is taught every day by a different instructor. The last thirty minutes are rolling time where all students are allowed to test the technique with one another with equal force to test each others abilities.

  • What are the benefits for a lady, child or adult of practicing Jiu-Jitsu?

    Jiu-Jitsu can have all benefits from self defense, discipline, socialism, overcoming fear outside the gym, fitness and health, or even becoming a career.

  • What are the rules inside a Jiu-Jitsu school?

    Very few rules to follow:

    1. No shoes on the mat

    2. Wash all gear after every use

    3.Respect instructors, students and staff.

    4. No kids on gym equipment

    5. Fallow instructions by instructors and/or staff

  • Is Jiu-Jitsu safe?

    The sport Jiu-Jitsu is safe if done as instructed. Our instructors are more than qualified for every class we offer but unlike anything related to fitness accidents can happen. Most common injuries come from unwashed clothing or little mistakes while rolling (spar).

  • Can I just do Jiu-Jitsu for fitness?

    All of our Jiu-Jitsu students come in for different purposes some for the fitness aspect, hobby, self defense, dicipline, socialism, MMA and competition.

  • Is a Gi required?

    A Gi is not require for a free week trial but it is required for members.

  • Is Jiu-Jitsu right for me?

    Jiu-Jitsu is open to both genders and all ages but it can also depend on self interest.

  • What should I bring for my week free trial?

    If you are completely new to a martial arts gymnasium all you will need is yourself dressed with fitness clothing. If you are a martial arts practitioner before stepping in our gym, bring in a GI if you own one. For kickboxing, you are more than welcome to bring in your pair of gloves, hand wraps are recommended and a mouth piece for both sports.

  • First time in, what should I expect?

    In the first day of your FREE week trial, you will check in at front desk, fill out a waiver and get a quick tour of our gym. We will explain the purpose of our mat set up, the gym equipment we offer, classes offered, instructors and class rates.

  • How do I get started with the Jiu-Jitsu sport or Kickboxing?

    With a FREE trial week, you can come to all of the classes offered by the gym. Check out our website for schedule times.
